Regeneration update – what’s happening now

We know many of you are interested in what is happening with the regeneration plans. At the moment, things are still at the planning stage and it is very normal for this part of the process to take time, even after a planning application has been to committee.

 In this case, the council has asked to take another look at some parts of the application. This includes making sure that legal and heritage matters are fully considered and clearly set out.  It is a helpful step that allows everyone to focus on getting things right early on, before any decisions are made.

There is no confirmed date yet for when the plans will be discussed again by the committee, but we will let you know as soon as we hear more. Although work continues in the background, we are still some time away from any changes on site. We will keep you informed as things move forward.
